The Couples for Christ Australia-New South Wales celebrated 36 years of its founding on Sunday, 18 August 2024. Organised this year by the North Cluster headed by Bro. Vitt and Sis. Donna Lim, 375 members gathered to a fiesta-themed celebration.
It started off with the Holy Mass at the Good Shepherd Parish (GSP) in Plumpton, NSW, with our main celebrant, Fr. Gerard O’Dempsey, the Parish Priest of GSP. This was followed by the celebrations in the neighbouring Bingo Hall. There were presentations from the Youth for Christ, a “The Voice of CFCA-NSW” contest and sumptuous Filipino food for snacks.
There are so many things to be grateful for, the past 36 years were not always smooth sailing. One of them is the continuous support we get from the respective parishes we all serve at. More so with the Good Shepherd Parish at Plumpton where CFCA members have been serving for more than three decades now, almost the same number of years as the founding of our community in Sydney.
Our new office is now located within the premises of the church, and the office blessing was done on the same afternoon (details in related article).
Through the grace of our loving God, who guided and have anointed leaders who can help take care of His flock, we are standing strong, ready to tackle a spiritual warfare for Him. We continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, press on and bear fruit, the 5000 in 5 years.
