As we usher in the month of love, there’s no better way to celebrate than by participating in the 2025 Evangelisation Rally, held in the picturesque landscapes of Queensland. This year’s event was nothing short of remarkable, setting the stage for a transformative experience.
The energy was palpable as attendees began to fill the venue well before the official start time. Within just 15 minutes, the room was bustling with excitement, and by the time the program commenced, over 200 enthusiastic participants marked this as the largest Evangelisation Rally in Queensland to date.
The rally kicked off with an uplifting praise and worship led by the talented Bro Marvin Tenio and a band consisting of a mix of couples, YFCs and SFCs from all 3 Chapters in QLD. Their choice of music was not only engaging but also inspiring, encouraging everyone present to join in wholeheartedly. The atmosphere was electric, setting a perfect tone for the day ahead.
One of the highlights of the event was the guest speaker, Bro George Silvino, who, despite facing flight cancellations, made a remarkable effort to arrive and share this year’s theme: "Called to a New Life in CHRIST." His powerful message resonated deeply with the audience, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. His words served as a catalyst for our community's vision of reaching 5,000 members in 5 years.
In addition to Bro George’s inspiring message, several community members took the stage to share their personal journeys within the CFCA community. Sis Annie Domingo from HOLD, Cerise Pangaruy from YFCA, Louise Basto from SFCA, and couples Bro Jayson & Sis Carol Tiu and Bro Pio & Sis Gladys Malana all delivered heartfelt testimonies that illustrated the profound impact of faith and community in their lives.
The event also featured a comprehensive report from our dedicated Area Head, Bro Ric Manalac. His insights into the highlights and challenges faced in the past year provided a clear vision for the future, inspiring attendees to continue their commitment to evangelisation and community service.
Following this, the Love in Action (LIA) team presented their fundraising achievements, showcasing their dedication and hard work on various projects throughout the year. Their efforts were a testament to the community's commitment to making a difference in people's lives.
As the event progressed, emotions ran high during the farewell segment for the chapter leaders and coordinators of HOLD. This moment was bittersweet, marking the end of an era while simultaneously paving the way for new leadership. Bro Ric, alongside his wife Glorious, is poised to guide this new team with the support of past elders, ensuring continuity and growth within the community.
The rally concluded with a holy mass led by the effervescent Fr Ray Sanchez, our spiritual adviser. His uplifting presence and guidance reminded everyone of the core message of the day: transformation through Christ. Fr Ray also offered a blessing to our new leaders.
As we reflect on the experiences shared and the connections made during the Evangelisation Rally, we are reminded that we are all being changed by Christ. No longer should we judge by outward appearances; instead, we are called to recognize the inner transformation that comes with faith. As we move forward, let us embrace our identity as new creations in the Lord Jesus Christ, united in purpose and love.
