Welcome to the first KFC update for 2025!
On the 1st of March 2025, the QLD Northside Kids for Christ (KFC) had their first catechism session for the year as part of Couples for Christ Australia’s (CFCA) Northside Chapter General Prayer Meeting (GPM).
The children kicked off their session with a short praise and worship, singing along to TobyMac’s Speak Life. They then watched a short reel about having faith in Jesus and what that truly means. This was followed by a brief discussion on how we can demonstrate our faith in Him in our daily lives.
The highlight of the catechism was a hands-on activity: creating faith chains, which later transformed into faith necklaces. Each child received colourful paper strips, stickers with biblical or encouraging messages, decorative stickers, colouring materials, and other stationery supplies to craft their paper chains.
Guiding and assisting them were the ever-helpful members of our CFCA community, including SFCs and YFCs.
Once the children completed their faith chains, they proudly turned them into faith necklaces. They were then introduced at the GPM, where they joyfully showcased their creations to the congregation.
Afterward, the KFCs enjoyed some sun-safe free time on the play equipment, under the supervision of CFCA helpers.
